- Painting Flowers with Natural Colours course at 'Nature in Art'
On 16th March, I am teaching an art course at Nature in Art, near Gloucester. In my 'Painting Flowers with Natural Colours' course, I'll show how to use natural colours and paints that you can create yourself in your kitchen!

From the 10th - 15th March, I will be 'Artist in Residence' at Nature in Art, near Gloucester. I'm exhibiting a large selection of my work and selling originals, prints, limited editions, cushions, coasters and cards, whilst working on new paintings and chatting to visitors. - 'Golden Turtle' exhibition in Moscow, Russia
I feel very humbled to be included in this wonderful exhibition in Moscow and St. Petersburg. I was honoured with a commendation for my grackle painting and the winner of the 'Animals in their environment' category with the Red Squirrel! A big 'thank you!' to the organisers for all their hard work, the exhibition looked fantastic!
- 16th Marwell International Wildlife Art Society Exhibition and Art Market, Hampshire, UK
I'm taking part in the 16th Annual Exhibition of Wildlife Art with the "Marwell International Art Society" from 29th August - 31st August 2014.

- Solo exhibition & Artist in Residence at 'Nature in Art'

- On stage with 'The Red Paintings'!
I will perform live on stage with the Australian Art-Rock band 'The Red Paintings' during their UK tour on Monday, 17th February in Guildford and Wednesday 19th February in Milton Keynes.
- The illustrated book about illustration
My artwork is included in Felix Scheinberger's new book about illustration '100 Wege einen Vogel zu malen', published by Verlag Hermann Schmidt, Germany. This beautifully made hard cover book is answering all those questions the self employed illustrator might have at some point of his/her career, from the experience of a successful illustrator and tutor. It will be available in German book stores from the 25th November or can be ordered directly on the Hermann Schmidt Website (German language only) from the 23rd November.
- Field Guide to the snakes of Costa Rica published
It always makes me immensely proud to see my illustrations being published in books. This one was especially close to my heart as it involved months of very dedicated and detailed work with international scientists and biologists. McConnell: 'The Field Guide to the Snakes of Costa Rica' can be ordered directly from the publisher Edition Chimaira.
- 9th International Conference on Genetics of Wildlife, Berlin, Germany
I will exhibit my paintings at the "9th International Conference on Behaviour, Physiology and Genetics of Wildlife", from 18th - 21st September 2013. The conference will be held at the "Bundesinstitut für Risikobewertung" in Berlin, Germany.

- Fieldcandy tent launched
Very Exciting NEWS!! My Tiger Tent, Nightwatch, in collaboration with British tent company Fieldcandy has just been launched. The sale profits of this tent will go entirely towards tiger conservation projects. Nothing better than mixing design/art with conservation. The tent can be seen and purchased on the Fieldcandy website.

- My artwork included in a new book published by Skillism
Skillism will include my oil painting of a tawny owl in their latest publication about birds. It follows up the successful release of “Visual Creativity” Vol.1 and will be published by Skillism later this year.

Just found out my jellyfish won "runner-up" in its category in the "BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year 2012" competition.

I will take part in the group exhibition at "The Night of a 1000 Drawings". Expo, sale of art, and party. Vlaams Cultuurhuis, Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

I am delighted that two of my wildlife paintings made it through to the finals of the "BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year 2012" competition!
- My artwork included in Bradford Wheler's new book, published by BookCollaborative
Bradford Wheler's new book “Cat Sayings: wisdom from the whiskered ones” will include several of my feline paintings. It follows up the very successful release of “Horse Sayings” and “Dogs Speaking: from man's best friend”. It will be published by BookCollaborative later this year.

One of my works was chosen for the cover of the 2012 catalogue of the drum and percussion manufacturer, SONOR.
- Exhibition and sale of artwork for "Turtle Team & State Veterinary School", North Carolina, USA
Prints and original artwork went to North Carolina, to be exhibited and auctioned to raise funds for the "Turtle Rescue and Conservation Team", which is part of the North Carolina Veterinary School.
- Limited edition greeting cards with my birds of prey paintings now in Cornwall, UK
A limited edition of printed greeting cards, showing my paintings of birds of prey, are now available in the Screech Owl Sanctuary in St.Columb/Cornwall.
- Artwork for the official 2011 Christmas card for "Tiger Awareness"
This year, the charity "Tiger Awareness" sends out Christmas cards which shows my tiger painting "Jhurijhura and her baby". I'm proud to be able to support this charity.
- Artwork for new album by Marco Minnemann
In a collaboration with art director, photographer and film maker Lasse Hoile, one of my artworks has been included in the cover art for “Evil Smiles Of Beauty”, the new album by Marco Minnemann. The CD will come out in January 2012.
- First prize!!
My oil painting of a barn owl, “Twilight in the Highlands”, won the first prize at the “Endangered Species Art Contest”, run by the International Birds Club.

- 13th International Wildlife Art Exhibition at Marwell Wildlife, Hampshire, UK
I'm taking part in the 13th Annual Exhibition of Wildlife Art with the "Marwell International Art Society" from 25th - 29th August 2011.
The exhibition will house over 700 exhibits in this year's event, and claims to be the largest exhibition of its kind in the world. More information can be found here.
- Exhibition at the NATO Tiger Association
I have the huge privilege to expose my tiger paintings during the 50th anniversary of the NATO Tiger Association meeting in Cambrai, France from the 9th - 18th May 2011. The canvases will be part of an Air Force exhibition in Cambrai Town Hall. I will have a table and be selling prints of my paintings during the flight displays of the tiger squadrons on the NATO base. Don't forget your ear plugs, it will be noisy. - My artwork as part of a biodiversity project
Some of my paintings have been used as part of a biodiversity outreach project run by Dr. David Ng, Director at the Molecular Biology Laboratory at the University of British Columbia, Canada. The project is known as the "phylo project", a trading card game of organisms for children. More information can be found here.
I will be exhibiting a selection of my tiger paintings along with the matching photographs by André Bosmans at Hotel Schindlerhof, Nürnberg, from 6th October til early January.

A couple of my digital works have been featured in the Readers Gallery section of the October issue (#61) of "Advanced Photoshop" magazine.

One of my pictures got accepted at the Mall Gallery in London for the annual exhibition of the "Society of Wildlife Artists".
Chris Packham of BBC's "Springwatch" will open the exhibition, which runs from 23rd September until 4th of October 2009.
